Overview

Located in Vista (San Diego County), California.  Vista Community Clinic is a private, nonprofit outpatient community clinic with multiple locations serving people who experience social, cultural or economic barriers to health care in a comprehensive, high quality setting.

 

 

Position: Part-time position avalible 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, comprehensive, ambulatory health care to patients of all ages
  • Obtain and interpret complete health data, identifies problems, and develop and implement treatment plans
  • Evaluate the process and outcome of treatment plans and modify as needed
  • Make referrals to physicians when appropriate
  • Order laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests as necessary
  • Deliver primary health care to men and women seeking family planning assistance with an emphasis on health education and self-care activities
  • Manage health care regimens of low-risk pregnant women
  • Participate in administrative and program development activities as required
  • Provide medication and immunization verification

Qualifications

Minimum

  • California licensed Nurse Practitioner 
  • Current certificate of completion from a certified Nurse Practitioner program or Master's degree in nursing with a Nurse Practitioner specialty
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience in ambulatory care setting

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to obtain relevant history and perform physical examination, including symptoms related to the current illness, chief complaints and involved organ systems 

 

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • DEA License (optional)
  • Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
